NADSFL

National Association of District Supervisors of Foreign Languages

Hello!

I am new to NADSFL.  I thought this might be a good place to ask a question.

As a part of my district department chair duties, I coordinate my district's partner schools. We have had a partner school relationship with a school in Monterey, Mexico for a few years. Our district decided to end the travel portion of the exchange, where we send students to Monterey.  It was a safety and liability issue.

We are looking for a new partner school. We would like a relationship where we send a group of students to a partner school and live with host families for a week (or so) and the partner school sends students to us for a week (or so).  We found our past exchange through personal contacts.  We found our French, German and Chinese exchange/partner schools also through personal contacts.  Amaziningly... with all the Spanish teachers in my district, we do not have any personal contacts that might assist us in setting up a new exchange.

Does anyone know of a reputable organization that assists in setting up such a program?

Danke im Voraus!
