GRANT OPPORTUNITIES
- NADSFL Mini Grants
Projects that focus on the proposal that benefit the membership and/or the foreign language profession will receive priority consideration although all proposals will be welcomed. In general, the maximum grant award is $250. - Joint National Committee for Languages and the National Council for Languages and International Studies website provides up-to-date information on grant opportunities and offers many tips/ideas for writing grants.
JNCL-NCLIS - Foreign Language Assistance Program Grants
This program provides grants to pay for the Federal share of the cost of innovative model programs providing for the establishment, improvement, or expansion of foreign language study for elementary and secondary school students.

FIPSE - International Research and Studies Program
supports surveys, studies, and instructional materials development to improve and strengthen instruction in modern foreign languages, area studies, and other international fields to provide full understanding of the places in which the foreign languages are commonly used.IRSP Grants - Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language Program
provides funds to institutions of higher education, a combination of such institutions, or partnerships between nonprofit educational organizations
and institutions of higher education to plan, develop, and carry out programs to strengthen and improve undergraduate instruction in international studies and
foreign languages.UISFLP Grants - ACTFL Professional Development Scholarships & Grants
Scholarships are available through ACTFL for summer study abroad for ACTFL Members.
ACTFL Scholarships & Grants - Office of Bilingual Education/Minority Languages Affairs administers programs authorized by Title VII of the Improving Americas Schools Act. Title VII is also known as the Bilingual Education Act. Title VII
programs provide educators with the flexibility to implement and expand programs that build upon the strengths of linguistically and culturally diverse students with the goal of helping them achieve to high academic standards.
OBEMLA Grants and Information - Bilingual Education: Program Development and Implementation Grants
provide grants to implement schoolwide bilingual education programs (including dual language education programs) or schoolwide special alternative instruction programs for reforming, restructuring, and upgrading all relevant programs and operations, within an individual school, that serve all or virtually all limited
English proficient (LEP) children and youth in one or more schools with
significant concentrations of these children and youth.
