What is the current focus of your work?
I teach full-time also. Across the district I am supervising my department's conversion to unit plan templates based on UbD--it will all go into the Rubicon Atlas Curriculum Mapping system. We are also focused on the use of the promethean board, and I am leading the district's attempt to infuse international education as part of 21st century skills.
What are your three areas of expertise (for sharing with other members)?
International education (I constructed and teach within the world language department an international studies course focused on cross-cultural awareness.) and the teaching of culture
Instituting a FLES program
Teaching and assessing with a proficiency approach
What is your greatest area of concern for your district?
Keeping FLES strong and also supported by its principals
