What is the current focus of your work?
While I was an active supervisor in my district, I created and implemented a magnet program that focused on content related courses of study, which was a language driven curriculum in Spanish, French and Russian. I have presented sessions focusing on this topic at FLENJ, NECTFL, ACTFL and CLTA. I am currently a university supervisor for student teachers at Monmouth University.
What are your three areas of expertise (for sharing with other members)?
1. Explaining the differences between content based and content related curriculum.
2. How to design, write, and implement content related curriculum.
3. How to assess daily class participation via a rubric in the World Language classroom.
